At Shakamak State Park, three lakes offer more than 400 acres for fishing, boating and swimming. For those who like to fish the big rivers, the mighty Wabash River is never far away.
The area also offers a variety of festivals that attract people from all around, including the Little Italy Festival in Clinton, Indiana, the Newport Auto Antique Hill Climb, which is the second largest auto event in Indiana, and the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival.
